OUR IMPACT
Greenthing partners with Women Waste Pickers who collect glass directly from landfills. We also work with our customers and partners to divert glass waste from entering landfills in the first place. In our Hot Shop, this reclaimed glass becomes beautiful, functional items – preventing waste while creating art.

At Greenthing, we tackle Kenya's glass waste problem through creative recycling and glass blowing artistry. We work by removing glass waste from one of East Africa's largest landfills in Dandora, and partner with local women waste pickers who collect the discarded glass.
Join us for an immersive glass-blowing workshops where you'll learn the ancient art of transforming recycled materials into beautiful creations.

Once collected, our skilled artisans transform this waste through traditional glass blowing techniques into beautiful, functional art. We also collaborate with businesses and other organizations to divert glass waste directly from the waste stream before it reaches the landfill.
Under the guidance of our skilled artisans, you'll experience firsthand the fascinating process of working with molten glass while contributing to environmental conservation. Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, our workshops offer a unique opportunity to create your own sustainable keepsake while connecting with traditional craftsmanship.

Make Something by Yourself
- Make one glass piece, guided by a Hotshop artist. Take it home the next day.

The Circular Studio
- A full hands-on circuit through our circular economy, built for school groups. Textile upcycling, glass crushing, natural dyeing, and glass blowing at the furnace. Optional: blow glass for an extra Ksh. 200/child.
- Duration: 3 to 3.5 hours
- Price: Ksh. 1,500/child. Teachers free.
- Age: 7 to 13
Bring Your Team
- A team day built around our sustainability story: furnace experience, impact certificate, and an official tax compliant (eTIMS) receipt. Minimum 10 people.

Studio Membership
A regular place at the furnace for serious hobbyists and working artists. Places limited to 8.
